Rob has been licensed to practice law since 1992 and during his career he has served as lead counsel in a wide variety of matters not only in Texas, but throughout the United States. Rob has tried over 70 civil jury trials, argued matters before numerous appellate courts, and served as lead counsel in many different national class action matters. Rob is committed to protecting the needs of his clients, giving candid and forward-thinking advice based on an understanding of his client's business, and being available to his clients when they need him regardless of the time of day or day of the week. As a business owner himself, Rob knows that a business owner wants to get honest advice on a timely consistent basis in the most economical manner possible.

Rob is active in the community, both professionally in bar organizations and in helping out many wonderful charitable and community causes. Rob's community involvement includes serving at the request of the State Bar of Texas Bar President on committees, serving as a member of the Board of Directors for an entity with the Boy Scouts of America, Camp Summit, and local business organizations, and volunteering with many local charitable causes including the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, Texas Lawyers for Texas Veterans, Catholic Charities, and the Jewish Family Service of Greater Dallas.
When it comes to Rob's business and commercial litigation experience, Rob has served as lead counsel in many 'routine' or ordinary business disputes to significant bet-the-company commercial matters throughout Texas. Rob's business experience additionally includes representing numerous lenders, servicers, and banks in a variety of debt collection, foreclosure related, and consumer related litigation. This depth of experience combined with Rob's own business knowledge and experiences from owning his own businesses has led many different CEO's, business owners, CFO's, and legal departments to trust Rob with their business and commercial litigation needs, as well as consumer financial service matters.
Over the years, Rob has gained invaluable experience in representing employers (both large and small) in almost every imaginable form of employment litigation. Rob's employment law practice encompasses document preparation, investigation, and litigation. As to Rob's experience within the area of document preparation for employers, Rob has prepared numerous employee handbooks and personnel policies, issue specific or technical policies, non-compete agreements, and a wide variety of employment agreements and contracts. Rob has led hundreds of internal employment investigations on behalf of his clients dealing with matters such as theft, discrimination, responding to EEOC investigations, government inquiries, whistleblower claims, and harassment to name a few. Rob has served as lead counsel in almost every imaginable form of employment litigation, including: FLSA, FMLA, whistleblower claims, 'Sabine-Pilot' claims, wrongful termination, and discrimination claims involving race, gender, pregnancy, age, sex, and handicap discrimination for both public and private employers. For the last several years, Rob has additionally prosecuted and defended many different claims involving non-compete agreements, theft of trade secrets and proprietary information, and non-solicitation agreements.
Rob routinely represents a large network of individual inventors as well as corporate entities in protecting their intellectual property rights. Over the years, Rob has served as lead counsel in trade dress or Lanham Act violations, theft of trade secret matters, copyright infringement, trademark infringement, and patent infringement matters. Rob has additionally represented clients in licensing disputes and assignment matters, royalty assignments, inventor and ownership disputes, trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings, product clearance investigations and diligence, and trademark and advertising brand management. Areas of industry in which Rob has represented clients in intellectual property matters includes: telephone and communications, health and hospital services, banking, software design, hunting, agriculture, ranching, literature, food and beverage, and entertainment to name a few.
Because of his passion for the outdoors and ranching experience, Rob is often called upon those within the agricultural and ranching industry to provide needed legal advice and representation. Over the years, Rob has represented landowners, ranchers, horse and cattle owners, agricultural product manufacturers, heritage ranch owners, and commercial ranch and farming operations throughout Texas.
