Stewart is an accomplished trial attorney, with over 40 cases tried to verdict (including 26 jury trials). He is experienced in both prosecuting and defending disputes for companies and individuals in all forms of complex business, real estate and employment disputes.
Stewart was named a “Rising Star” in 2008 and 2010 by Law & Politics magazine, as seen in Texas Monthly; and he stays involved in the community by, among other things, serving on a Reinvestment Zone Board (TIF) for the City of Dallas.
Stewart joined Anderson Tobin, PLLC after serving as general counsel for NeXplore Corporation (a public company), where he provided advice on an array of business, legal and regulatory issues. Prior to joining NeXplore, Stewart practiced with Winstead Sechrest & Minick, P.C.
Types of matters handled by Stewart include:
- Disputes between businesses and current or former employees (breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets, non-competition, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and fraud).
- Disputes between businesses and their vendors, customers and other third parties based on disagreements over contracts/agreements.
- Disputes between lenders and other creditors and debtors, including collection matters and foreclosures of real and personal property.
- Disputes concerning real property (title, landlord/tenant, purchase/sale, evictions and other property disputes).
Stewart is married to Sarah and they have one son, Jack.
