Jessica is licensed in both Texas and California. She has been named a "Rising Star" for 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 by Texas Super Lawyers. She is a strong scholar of the law--in law school she was selected by the Chief Judge Buchmeyer of the Northern District of Texas to draft orders and observe trials, and after law school she served as a Briefing Attorney for the Sixth District Court of Appeals for Texas (Texarkana) where she researched, briefed, and drafted opinions.
Since graduating from Rice University in 1999 and receiving her juris doctorate cum laude from Southern Methodist University in 2002, where she was selected for the Computer Law Review & Technology Journal and was the champion of the Advanced Appellate Competition for 2001, Jessica has practiced in the fields of entertainment law, commercial litigation, appellate law, administrative law, and employment law in both Los Angeles and Dallas.
Before coming to Anderson+Jones to assist and defend our clients in commercial and employment disputes (trial and arbitration) Jessica was a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers' 2005 Leadership Class, a co-organizer of the DAYL Leadership Class charity event "Big Easy in Big D" (benefiting D.I.S.D. schools that absorbed the most students following Hurricane Katrina), and she previously sat on the Board of Directors for Family Gateway, a family-based homeless shelter that aims to help families reclaim their lives.
Jessica heads up the Entertainment Law Section at Anderson+Jones with special expertise in representing and protecting all the rights of music artists. Jessica was instrumental in the start and development of Forever the Sickest Kids, and endearingly calls the guys her “kids,” and treats them as such. Jessica gets deeply involved with any artist she represents – and is known for doing a lot more than "lawyer work."
Jessica and her husband live in Dallas with their baby girl, Gisele; two pugs, Brandi and J.P.; french bulldog, Owen; and Kitty.
Named Rising Star by Texas Monthly (2006-2009)
