Scott has over twenty-five years of experience in representing businesses in sophisticated transactions and employment planning. Scott is the “go to” corporate lawyer for many companies in the DFW area. He has completed over 100 purchases or sales of the assets or ownership interests in businesses. Scott regularly advises clients in the areas of entity formation, partner and shareholder disputes, mergers, acquisitions buy-sell agreements, contract disputes, and employment planning.

In the employment area, he has prepared dozens of dispute resolution policies, employment agreements, covenants not to compete, and severance agreements. He advises clients on Fair Labor Standards Act, unemployment tax credits, independant contractor issues, and other compliance issues and audits.

As a Texas Certified Public Accountant, Scott has the background to grasp and analyze the broader issues involved representing and advising Companies.

Scott graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Law, with distinction, in 1983, where he was a member of the Nebraska Law Review and of the Order of the Coif. He is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Texas and Nebraska.

Scott has been president of his homeowners association for several years and a member of the board of directors of a bank and other businesses. He served on the State Board of Texas Real Estate Forms Committee.
